How it Works:
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SHOP REGARDING TRADE UP. EMAIL communication is required. Begin by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org describing the gear you’d like to trade in. This is an important step because we first need to agree upon an estimate and it will create a paper trail to record the conversation. In this email, please include the following about your gear:
Once we have made an agreement on the estimate, please create an account on our website if you are not a previous customer. Then print and fill out the intake form and mail with your trade-in gear to the following address:
- Condition Level (your best estimate)
- Number of pieces (for rods)
- Right or Left hand retrieve (reels)
- If your reel has backing and/or line on it:
- Line type/weight
- Backing weight
- Any images you would like to share (this is optional and does not impact our decision or estimate).

You are responsible for shipping trade-in gear to us. For your protection, please insure your package before shipping, and use UPS or FedEx as your carrier. Please be sure to enclose the completed intake form with your shipment.
The Trade Up Program is intended to help you purchase new gear. Trade Up credit may not be used to purchase used or demoed gear. Trade Up credit must be used within 30 days of receipt. Currently we only accept fly rods and fly reels for trade-up.
We get a high volume of quality rods, reels and other gear each week. Please check out our listing pages for the latest additions to our collection! If you find something you like, grab it up because it won’t be here for long!
