The CCF series brought new technology into the big game fly fishing market by introducing a drag system that incorporated all the qualities of cork drags and added the unbeatable startup inertia of carbon fiber. Marrying Cork and Carbon Fiber (CCF), we were able to mitigate all the negatives of both materials: The high startup inertia and high maintenance requirements of cork, and the build up of heat of carbon fiber. We created the perfect braking system, and now have 6 just as perfect reels built around it!
Reels are available in black or brushed silver anodizing unless ordered in a custom color.
10DD:
The Nautilus CCF 10DD is a large arbor, high capacity workhorse, overbuilt to withstand abuse from rock jetty fishermen and other savages alike. This reel is based on the Nautilus CCF 12DD frame and the spools are fully interchangeable between the two reels. Whether you fancy a second spool to turn your 10 weight reel into a 12 weight reel or vice versa, the CCF10DD is a versatile addition to your lineup. WF10F +300 yds 30lb backing. Atlantic:
The Nautilus CCF Atlantic is a 5" monster to tame the largest of species. This reel, built around the CCF-XL brake, is unique not only in performance, but also in the intricate CNC machining work that went into the design of the spool. From balancing a 15 foot Spey rod to horsing in a blue water denizen, this reel will increase the odds of landing the next blue marlin world record, or landing the only Salmon of the week on your favorite Norwegian river. Custom Colors
All Nautilus reels can be ordered with custom colored housings and spools. All available colors are pictured below. Anodizing varies from batch to batch, so we encourage our customers to order a spare spool at the time they order the original reel in a custom color in order to ensure a proper match. The cost for a custom colored reel in a single color is an additional $100 per reel. Spare spools are an additional $50 as long as it is the same color.
