A very powerful 8-weight fly rod with a little extra length to extend your casting range and improve line control. It will handle all the various options in fly lines… sink tips, shooting heads up to about 350 grains, floating and full sinking. It gives you excellent control for mending line and managing long leaders as well as strike indicators. It's a great choice for steelhead and small salmon. If you wade the flats you'll appreciate this rod for it's ability to shoot a long line with minimal false casts.
