The Scott team designed and crafted this series of rods to help anglers enjoy the most success from their time on the water. Session rods are high-performance hand-crafted fly rods that blend some of Scott's most acclaimed design approaches with the latest materials and technologies. This results in rods that combine high line speed and exceptional loop control with a light and lively feel in the hand. These traits have become known as Scott’s signature "fast with feel" action. It gives the rods a wide bandwidth of performance for fishing at a range of distances, and for using a variety of flies and techniques with the same rod. Most of all it means having fun on the water and enjoying the rod in your hand!

Session rods feature Scott’s Carbon Link epoxy resin system, Multi-Modulus lay ups, ARC2 reinforcement, ReAct, and Natural Finish blanks. Fly rods are handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado, using the finest components including milled aluminum reel seats with type 2 anodize and wood inserts, silicon nitride stripping guides, and Super grade cork handles.  Available from 8 to 10 feet, in four-piece configuration for 3 weight to 8 weight lines.

Scott's pick when trout fishing in small to medium sized waters, especially when focusing on fishing dries with light tippet.

Recommended line weight 115-130 grains.


SE904/4, 9’ 0” 4 wt 4 pc

The all-arounder for lighter work when using smaller flies and light tippet. This rod feels feather-light in hand yet generates ample line speed and tight loops for longer casts, and wind defying leader turn over.

A true do-it-all rod. Exceptional loop control allows effortless changes between fly sizes and fishing styles. With its sensitive tip, this rod also delivers precise line control and protects light tippets.

Scott's favorite cross over rod for streamer fishing for big trout and targeting smallmouth, carp and smaller anadromous species like half pounders or sockeye. Great with both floating and sinking lines.

The rod to choose for larger flies, huge trout, most pacific salmon, and warmwater species like pike, carp, and largemouth. This rod has a fast, powerful action and stiffer tip to help drive big flies and pull sink tips out of the depths.

A great choice for additional line control, long roll casts and single hand spey casts. It’s built with a fighting butt.

A great rod for streamer fishing or swinging flies. This rod tracks incredibly well and casts long effortless loops. It is also one heck of a rod for single hand spey casting.

A superb rod for technical nymphing both with and without indicators. The light tip allows for sensitive strike detection and protects the finest tippets. It will also serve you well during those tailwater midge hatches.

Anglers who prefer lakes, look no further. This rod excels at casting floating, intermediate, and sinking lines and long leaders. Stable and controlled at all distances, it is a joy to cast all day.
