New Design - For a new faster, progressive all-around action. All around rods need a broad casting range to cover a range of situations. These new Boron AIR 2 freshwater rods generate higher line speed; have a faster recovery rate; and a new, modern quick and smooth action without sacrificing feel and enjoyment. For those days when you can only have one rod, this is the only one required to do the job.

The Winston AIR 2 is a four-piece, fast-action freshwater fly rod. The 3- and 4-weight models suit dry flies and light nymph rigs; the 5- and 6-weight models cover dry flies, nymph rigs, and streamers. Available configurations also include 7- and 8-weight rods at 9 feet 6 inches.

New Snake Guides – these new shooting guides feature a lighter gauge and less weight, utilizing a smaller profile guides with ECO coating. In addition to a new all-around quick design featuring new carbon fiber material, a new Boron configuration, new custom HSR Resin, are also using entirely new lighter snake guides with ECO slick coating on the new Boron Freshwater AIR 2 rods. These lighter, smaller profile guides with new ECO slick coating feature a Round Helix geometry that provides reduced line friction and better line shooting for added energy as well as improved accuracy and distance management.
