Fly Fishing Bags & Packs — Sling Packs, Backpacks & Gear Bags

Explore fly fishing bags and packs from Simms, Patagonia, Orvis and others. Compare carrying style, capacity and organization, and check each model's features and water protection for the conditions you fish.

Chest, Sling, Hip, or Backpack?

Choose a fly fishing pack by how you want to carry it, the capacity you need, and its stated water protection. The Patagonia Stealth Switch Pack 5L can be worn as a chest, hip, or sling pack, or attached to another pack. For more capacity, the Patagonia Guidewater Backpack 29L offers a waterproof, submersible design.

Wearing a pack high on your body does not make it waterproof. Check the specific model’s water-protection rating when choosing a pack for rain, deep wading, or possible submersion.
