Stillwater Return Policy

We want you to be 100% satisfied! At Stillwater, you, the customer, are our top priority. If you're not happy, we're not happy.

Exchanging for a different product, size or color? It happens. It looked good on the website. The sizing chart said this was what you would wear but when you received the product it just did not work out. No issues. Please contact us for the RMA number and we will be more than happy to make the exchange. However, reordering the different product and the shipping will be at your cost. This cost will vary depending on the size and weight of the parcel as well as the location we are sending it to. You can determine what the shipping cost will be by adding that product to your cart and adding your shipping address, then pick the correct shipping method. If you would like to return an item for a refund, please email us and request an RMA number. By receiving an RMA this will speed up the process of your return. If you ordered your item via Amazon, you will need to return the item via Amazon's return process (you do not need an RMA). If you ordered your item via eBay, be sure to include your eBay username and associated email address in your email to us. If you ordered your item through, please include the Sales Order number that was in your order confirmation email (ex: S.O.55555) in your email to us.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, package and return it to us within 30 days for a full refund, credit or merchandise exchange [Please be aware that you may be responsible for shipping charges on exchanged items]. All returned items MUST be in the brand new condition, with regards to fly rods the warranty cannot be registered, item tags need to be attached to the purchased product as it came new. If items have been worn or used, this will void the return-ability of that particular item.


It happens. You order a rod. It arrives. You're excited. You go out on the lawn to cast it... but it's not exactly what you wanted. No problem. As long as the rod has only been cast on the lawn, you're welcome to ship the rod back to us and we will find you the right stick. We are not able to accept returned rods that have dirty corks or have been fished. We carry the same policy for a reel. If you have us spool your reel with line and/or backing and you want to return the reel, you will be charged for the full retail price of the fly line as well as a charge for the backing and rigging of the reel which will be a minimum charge of $25 plus the additional cost of the backing.


When your waders or boots arrive, try them on inside. Make sure they fit and are comfortable before wearing them outside. If for any reason the fit is not right, ship them back to us and we will find you the right size fit. We are unable to accept returned waders or boots that have been worn outside or used.


All Sales are final on Closeout Items.
